Even if you have never picked up a guitar yourself in your life, watching someone play Africa by Andy McKee will send goosebumps up and down your spine. Then your goosebumps will get goosebumps as you continue to listen to him playing the whole thing.

He just looks like a normal guy when he is up on the stage, and if someone has not seen him play before or heard of his reputation they might be forgiven for thinking that nothing special is going to happen. He might even be mistaken for the tune up guy when he first comes on and starts tuning up – by ear! Right there on stage.

But when he starts playing it is the most talented, amazing thing you will ever hear. He starts off putting the beat in by banging on the guitar with one hand, and then slowly brings in the melody playing the frets with his other. Yes, that it right, he plays the frets to start off the high parts of the song.

For most of the time, he does not even watch his fingers. He just seems to have his eyes closed and feels the music for a lot of the time, as if it is coming out of him and not just his guitar. Even for people who have never seem much solo guitar playing on stage, it is easy to see that this is one difficult song to play.

But he plays it absolutely effortlessly. Just as if he is sitting at home, having a rest. Watching Andy play keeps you mesmerized from the first base beat all the way through and right up until the fade out at the end – and that is not an easy thing to do either. It is six minutes of total bliss.

This is one of the coolest guitar things I’ve seen in ages. Hannes Coetzee (from South Africa) playing old blues fingerstyle while also using a spoon in his mouth to play slide guitar melody. Looks and sounds awesome.

Rylynn by Andy McKee is a highly charged, emotional song, which he plays with deep feeling. It is thought that he named the song after the child of a family friend who sadly passed away unexpectedly. But in spite of this it is still a light song, as if he was also celebrating the life of a child who has left a light but permanent mark on the world.

It must be up there with Highway to Heaven as one of the songs that most people try to learn and cover. In fact, although it does look complicated, once the tabs are noted, then it does not seem to be complicated. He uses capo on the fifth fret, on the sixth, fifth, fourth and third strings.

But it is the sheer artistry of watching him play which is so awe inspiring. He plays it so lightly that it trips along. Most of the covers seem to be slower and heavier, like children, learning to walk, running after the father. Every time he plays it he seems to be totally absorbed in it. It starts off slowly and with a feeling of regret and loss, but is very light and running in the middle section.

Rylynn can be found on his third album, The Art of Motion, which was released in 2005 on Candyrat records. This album contains many of the other songs which he is famous for as well as some additional songs from his second album, Dreamcatcher.

This song grabs the listener from the first few notes and his beat, tapped out on the guitar. It keeps hold of you right the way through. But the ending is truly amazing. He seems to be playing to two different timings, a riff and one handed melody. He is truly a genius!

There are a lot of famous finger-style guitarists in the world. One of them is Andy Mckee who was born in 1979. He was known to play the guitar, baritone guitar and harp guitar. He was also recognized for his top-voted video which is called Drifting – it almost became a trademark – drifting by Andy McKee.

Just like other guitarists, Mckee has also started his musical talent by being a fan of other guitarist like Preston Reed. And soon was influenced by other famous guitar soloists. His website alone has over a million viewers as well as his YouTube videos. Drifting is a featured video both in MySpace and Youtube that earned about 35 millions views from his fans.

He has made a lot of compositions and in fact has about eight albums since 2001 until present. Drifting is one of his songs that have over twenty-nine million views in YouTube. The harmony of his acoustic guitar strums is just awfully fantastic.

He has also independently released his first two albums which is the Nocturne in 2001 and Dreamcatcher in2004. His song called “Africa” has a great number of viewers as well but for some reasons, his latest record label has removed this cover from those video streaming web sites.

Mckee has been under Candy Rat Records from the time when he created his third album which was Art of Motion in 2005. His music has gathered admiration from different other famous guitar soloists like Don Ross. He has also contributed in making Josh Groban’s song a best-selling in 2007when he played some guitar solo on Little Drummer Boy.

In 2009, he already signed for his new record label which is the Razor and Tie Entertainment. Common Ground EP is the album that was released under the record label. The last album created which is Joyland was also released last first quarter of 2010.

He is considered as one of the icons of the music industry. He has shared a lot of good music. Everybody should have at least one song as part of their music player list at least legally to help him compose more songs.
